Music audition registration is available October 1 through February 28 | Monday - Friday | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

These scholarships are for admitted students interested in performing in one or more of Central’s music ensembles. Auditions are limited to high school seniors only.

Winds & Brass	Two contrasting pieces of prepared music, each about one minute or less. Any major scale.
Percussion	Prepare a piece for two of the following, each one minute or less: snare drum, timpani or marimba. If interested in playing drum set, demonstrate a variety of musical styles (swing, funk, bossa nova, etc.).
Guitar or Bass	Show that you can read a jazz band chart. Show that you can read chord changes.
Piano	Two contrasting pieces, each about one minute or less. Any major scale.
Strings	Two contrasting pieces of prepared music, each about one minute or less. Any major scale.
